#7: Machine Quilting 1
Nancy is truly an artist with thread! You'll learn the basics of (and have fun with!) free-motion quilting as you experiment on a pre-printed sampler fabric panel that gives you nine unique blocks, three motifs, and 16 border patterns. Along with Nancy's special brand of encouragement and personal tips, you'll have Skillbuilder Companion guidebook as a valuable reference, resource, and reminder as you increase your skills. You'll use our sewing machine with a walking foot and a darning foot.

#150:  Super Simple Quilting
Want to learn to quilt? This is the perfect class for beginners! You will learn to rotary cut, to strip piece, and to achieve that perfect 1/4-inch seam allowance as you create this rail fence pattern. From the first cut to the last stitch, you will go home with a quilt top at the end of the day. Your class fee includes the pattern and fabrics. We'll have all the tools ready to assure you have the "right stuff"  to be successful.

#151: Super Simple Quilt Finish
This is the follow-up class to Super Simple Quilting (which is a prerequisite) to learn how to layer your rail fence quilt top with batting and backing, to machine quilt it, and to finish with binding. You are now officially a quilter!

#30:  9-Patch Quilt              
A great class for the confident beginner or someone who wishes to brush up on her skills.  Kay will take you through cutting the strips, making the blocks, putting them together, adding borders, layering up, machine quilting, and adding the binding all in this 5-week class. You'll be proud of yourself!

#34:  Beginning Quilting: Log Cabin
 The Log Cabin block is a favorite for a reason! It bumps up your beginning skills but is still so easy to do. Kay will be showing you the different layouts you can do with this block to give totally different looks. You'll be creating the 9-block square that is perfect for a table topper or baby quilt.

#47:  Quilters Take to Class Bag         
A perennial favorite, this bag will hold all your needs for any class.  There is a pocket for your cutting mat and three pockets on the inside with plenty of room for your fabric and books.  Although designed for quilters, it's a great bag for any of your larger carrying needs---or your teenager's!

#52:  Dresden Plate Candle Mat    
Create this striking candle mat —pretty  with a centered candle or a bouquet of spring flowers—with colors of the season. Just the body of the wedges are sewn to the background; the  tips of the wedges are not sew down but left free.

#53:  Razz-Ma-Tazz    
       
These crazy patch hearts just dance across the quilt! Choose your brightest colors for the hearts, which are then fused to the background and finished with a blanket stitch. It's great for either a baby's quilt or wall hanging.

 #54:  Easy Striped Table Runner    
The EASIEST project you will ever make--and it looks so intricate! The magic is in the 60 degree triangle ruler that gives you a beautiful table runner from a border or large stripe fabric. Get ready to make many of these for your holiday gift list!

#55:  Closet Caddy            
Although she designed this project for a kid's class, Kay got so many "Hey, I want to make one" comments from you adults that we put this one in the line-up! This closet caddy would be a great gift for many on your gift list--teenagers, travelers, sewer's ….well, anyone!

#60:  Ribbon Illusions    
You need to look closely at this quilt to see how the "strips" are "constructed"! Kourtney will show you how to couch many different yarns and fibers to get the look you want. This wall hanging goes together quickly and has many design possibilities.

#61:  Easy Sweatshirt Jacket              
Easy-Breezey! This easy-to-make sweatshirt jacket is flattering to all with its straight lines and mandarin collar. The body is a large crazy patch and the random appliqués are raw edged so there are no points to match or turn under. Cute--and fast!--in black/white, holiday colors, or your favorites.

#63:  Paper Piecing: Halloween Pumpkin  
Sue is all about paper piecing. and you will be, too, when you take one of her four classes scheduled during September through November. This class will help you get a jump on Halloween decorating with an adorable pumpkin. The finished block would be a great pillow front, small wall hanging, or stretched over a canvas square.

#64:  Paper Piecing: Cartwheeling Santa Claus
This class starts you on your holiday decorating with a cartwheeling Santa Claus. The finished block would be a great pillow front, small wall hanging, or stretched over a canvas square.

#65:  Paper Piecing: Holiday Bells

#66:  Paper Piecing: Gingerbread Man
This class adds to  your holiday decorating for the kids. This "Catch Me if You Can" gingerbread man finished block would be a great pillow front, small wall hanging, or a holiday pillowcase.

Quiltsmart...quilt smarter, not harder!

#56:  Quiltsmart Series: Mariner's Compass            
Don't shy away from all of these points! Each one is made the perfect size using the Quiltsmart method of applique. You must love accuracy and precision--both are mandatory here!

 #56:  Quiltsmart Series:  Pumpkin Seed     
Circles and inner star shpaes are now easy! Each one is made the perfect size using the Quiltsmart method of applique. Choice of fabric definitely sets the look with this one. This is a technique class—fall in love with it and apply it to your chosen project.

#77:  Purse of the Month Club - Sept                        
This month, you'll be creating the Captivating Cell Phone Caddy, which comes in three sizes for the Blackberry, iPhone, and many others. It's a youthful, whimsical, and fabulously coordinated accessory which boasts a key ring.

#77:  Purse of the Month Club - Oct                          
This month, you'll be creating the As You Wish Purse: Posh or Playful? You'll be making the basic purse with some crosshatch quilting added. Your choice if you want the funky flowers!

#77:  Purse of the Month Club - Nov

 #96:  Embroidery Club: Lace Star Ornament     
These free-standing lace ornaments are beautiful, clever, and easy to do! You'll be creating the 3D Star in class…and while you're waiting for the design to stitch out, you'll get a surprise guest speaker!

#97:  Embroidery Club: In the Hoop Pincushions!            
Katherine has done a book with Eileen Roche on pincushions embroidered in the hoop…and you’re the first class she'll be sharing it with! You'll be creating the primrose petals on chalked fabric (see closeup), complete with the emery leaf.

#98:  Embroidery Club:
New from Baby Lock Tech Don't you just love surprises! Even we aren't sure of this month's club project because we'll be bringing it home from Baby Lock Tech at the end of August. Guaranteed it will something fun!

#100 Espire Inspirations Club
On the second Thursday of each month, you can join Judy to learn about the different functions of your Espire. So often we only know those areas that we tend to use frequently. However, this versatile machine has many, many wonderful tools and techniques that make it great and this is your chance to learn about them. The only supply for you to purchase for all 11 classes is the Espire Inspirational Guide. You may register for each of the 11 classes or for individual ones.

#255:  Two Day Fall Splendor Workshop      
 Friday, October  1, and Saturday, October 2, Lennie Honcoop returns for an encore visit bringing her new leaves pattern for a hands-on 2-day workshop.    

In Lennie's easy no-sew appliqué method, fused template shapes are finished with fusible ribbon, giving definition and subtle dimension to every piece. Ribbons and template shapes are then shaded using permanent fabric markers. Hot fix crystals add an optional finishing touch of glitter.    During class, Lennie will have time to share her other projects and stories with you. She is truly delightful and we love to have her with us whenever she is in town.

#9:  Beginning Hand Appliqué                                
Want to achieve great results in hand appliqué with minimal effort?  This is your workshop!  You will learn how to get sharp points and smooth curves using the templar and starch technique.  This method makes beginners look like pros.  You'll also be learning how to appliqué the shapes onto a background using the invisible appliqué stitch.

#12:  Intro to Hand Quilting
